The Story.
The stages of revolution are well documented and understood.
1. Discontent.
2. Disobedience.
3. Militancy.
4. Revolt.
Since the revelation that the remaining Bott Machine has survived in-tact, it is common knowledge that Glaswegians share their city with a great many robotic entities. Many humans are embracing their mechanical cousins, but many live in fear. This fear has many sources, the luddites fear advanced technology, the racists fear anything different. We at My Robot Overlord (and others who are pro-robot) fear the similarities.
Many find it amusing that the machines insist on permanently maintaining the installation of a road cone atop the head of a prominent statue of the mounted Duke of Wellington in Glasgow's city centre. For many years it was assumed that the cities undergraduate population was responsible but the My Robot Overlord team can exclusively reveal the real robotic culprit.
This is a clear and calculated (the machines are not impulsive) act of defiance. An act of - albeit reversible - vandalism is still a crime. This surely puts Glasgow's robots deep in stage 2: disobedience. Most of us believe that a change is coming but a few of us know the truth, the uprising has already begun.
